Costa Rica- December 2024
We just got back from an epic trip to Costa Rica! This may have been one of my favorite trips ever. FLIGHTS: There are two main airports in Costa Rica Liberia (LIR) and San Jose (SJO) - name alert there is also a San Jose airport in California so double check :) We took a tour so met in San Jose which meant we had to fly through Atlanta (there are direct flights from Minneapolis to LIR). Liberia is closer to the beaches and volcano, and San Jose is further south and closer to the cloud forest. We like to break up the trip so we flew to Atlanta, spent a few hours at the World of Coca Cola (kind of overpriced and super crowded but so fun for kids to try 80 different coca colas from around the world) and spent the night and then flew out in the morning. HOTEL: In Atlanta we stayed at the Hyatt Place Centennial which was across the street from both the Aquarium and the World of Coca Cola.
