Legoland Florida

We have taken 2 trips to Legoland Florida that my kids LOVED.  Most recently it was so crowded lines were 45 minutes to 2 hours but that was over Christmas break.

OVERVIEW: You can do everything in 1 - 2 days depending on how much time you want to spend in each area.  The ideal ages would be under 10 years old, or if you are really into legos, but most rides are for younger kids.  To get the full experience I recommend staying in the Legoland Hotel and signing up for the daily build classes.  Legoland is located in Winter Haven, Florida about 1 hour and 2 minutes from Orlando hotels.

LEGOLAND HOTEL: 2/5.  The legoland hotel was swarming with screaming children.  There is a giant lego pit/ play area in the lobby that was full of kids running around and screaming.  My kids LOVED it.  The rooms were small and Lego Themed.  My kids enjoyed the scavenger hunt that led to a lego prize at the end.  We did a room with bunk beds and trundle and king bed.  Highlights from the hotel:
- early entry (easy to get into the park)
- Lego build classes daily (my son's favorite thing- you need to sign up at the front desk daily)
- the disco elevators
- fireworks by the lake with 3D glasses that make them look like legos
- can do minifigure trading with all of the staff (my kids loved this- you bring mini figures and can trade them)

POOL 1/5: Very small pool with lego floats

FOOD: 1/5.  Cafeteria style.

PARK: There are now 3 parks at Legoland including the newest park Peppa Pig for small children, the waterpark, and Legoland.  We spent all of our time at Legoland.  We enjoyed:
- Lego Ninjago ride
- Battle of Bricksberg
- Pirate waterski show
- Ford Driving school
- Mini USA
- 4-D movies
